This policy explains what information Horse Nerd, LLC, doing business as The Horse Nerd, collects through thehorsenerd.com, how we use it, and your choices. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information you give us

  • Name and email address when you join the email list, create an account, or enter a contest
  • Billing name and address when you buy a subscription; card payments go directly to our payment processor, and we never see or store your full card number
  • Anything you send us through the contact form or by email

2. Information collected automatically

Our website platform (Squarespace) and our analytics tools collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and approximate location. Cookies keep you logged in, remember your cart, and measure site traffic. You can block cookies in your browser, but some features, such as member logins, may stop working.

3. How we use it

  • Deliver tip sheets, the workout report, and other content you signed up for
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and send receipts and renewal notices
  • Send our newsletter and offers (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Run contests and contact winners
  • Answer your questions, improve the site, and prevent fraud

4. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the business for us, under their own privacy terms: our website and membership platform (Squarespace), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and analytics. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights. Contest winners' names or social handles may be posted publicly, as stated in the official contest rules.

5. Email choices

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional emails about an active subscription.

6. Data retention

We keep account and purchase records as long as your account is active and as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Email list records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

7. Your requests

You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing horsenerdai@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to records we must keep by law.

8. Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but no website or transmission is completely secure.

9. Age

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
